Welcome To Bluff View Farms!

Bluff View FarmsOur story goes back to 1999 when Ron and Oleta Coppinger purchased a 50 acre tract in Birchwood, Tennessee. From those origins came the decision to make the Farm in itself a business entity, and when it came time to decide upon what type of livestock to raise it was an easy answer. Alpacas meet the criteria in many ways - they are relatively easy to handle and halter-train, are not physically challenging to fencing and pasture, and provide the most luxurious renewable resource known to man - their fleece.

As the United States market for Alpaca seeks to become a bigger and bigger portion of the world market in high-end clothing and finished goods, the quality of the domestic Alpaca fiber will determine it's impact here in this country. We raise our Peruvian and Chilean Huacaya Alpacas with an emphasis on breeding that results in improvements between generations in not only fleece quality but physical attributes as well.

Visitors are always welcome at Bluff View Farms, whether to peruse our herd, check out our Herdsires for breeding to their females, or just to talk about any Alpaca issues under the sun. Feel free to contact us to arrange a visit.
